The 2025 Enterprise Tech 30: The builders defining what’s next
We’re proud to unveil the 7th annual Enterprise Tech 30, our data-driven list of the 60 most promising private companies in enterprise technology.
This year’s list reflects how fast the enterprise landscape is evolving. We’re seeing the rise of AI-native applications, the emergence of agentic systems that can take action on their own, and a renewed wave of early-stage innovation that’s gaining serious investor traction. The ET30 is built in partnership with leading venture capitalists, and for the first time, we’ve teamed up with Eric Newcomer of Newcomer Media to bring independent editorial perspective to the report and the inaugural ET30 Summit in New York.
What’s new in 2025
AI-native takes over – Half of the companies on this year’s list are built around foundation models or LLMs. That’s up from 0% in 2019.
Agentic AI goes early – Four of the top five early-stage companies are focused on agentic capabilities, where AI systems move from passive outputs to autonomous workflows.
Applications are back – Horizontal and vertical SaaS companies now make up 35% of the list, reclaiming ground from years dominated by infrastructure and tooling.
PLG evolves – Product-led growth remains strong, but the balance is shifting from technical users to business adopters.
Founder DNA is consistent – While the tech changes, the talent pool remains familiar: Google, Microsoft, and Harvard are still leading sources of ET30 founder backgrounds.
Why it matters
The ET30 isn’t just a ranking. It’s a signal of what’s being built, what’s breaking through, and where capital and talent are flowing. It’s a guide for founders, investors, and enterprise leaders who want to stay ahead of the curve.
So whether you’re launching your next startup, investing in emerging categories, or just trying to keep up with where enterprise tech is headed, this year’s ET30 is essential reading.
